Arashyama & Utano
In the mountains north of Kyoto: Stop 2
My second Japan stay was in a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Inn) Tatami-matted room was another interesting experience. An aging facility with a lot of character. The owner was the keeper, the main chef, the knower of all if you knew what questions to ask.
Lot of beauty in nature here, aside from the one Big Boy, there are Castles, Temples, Gardens, and Nature in the surrounding hills and countryside.
